TOP Tips for Potty Training

1. Signs of readiness; can manage to stay dry for at least two hours between wet nappies

2. Regular or predictable bowel movements

3. Able to understand simple instructions 

4. Able to sit on and get up from potty with only a little help


PARENTS

1. Stay focused

2. Avoid clothes that have difficult zips and buttons

3. Don’t be pressurised from other people to start too early you will know when the time is right!

4. Don’t rush potty training

There is no right age to potty train. The average age for most children is between the ages 2 and 3 years of age.

BE POSITIVE, PATIENT AND CONSISTENT!
